Overtaking a bike!
Here are some general tips for drivers:

Safety First
1. Check your mirrors and blind spots
Ensure there are no other vehicles or pedestrians nearby.

2. Signal your intention
Indicate your intention to overtake with a clear signal.

3. Wait for a safe opportunity
Choose a straight stretch of road with good visibility.

Overtaking Safely
1. Leave plenty of space
Give the cyclist plenty of room, at least 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) of clearance.

2. Reduce speed
Adjust your speed to match the cyclist’s pace before overtaking.

3. Avoid sudden movements
Make smooth, gradual movements to avoid startling the cyclist.

Additional Tips
1. Be patient
Wait for a safe moment to overtake, even if it means delaying your journey.

2. Respect cyclist’s space
Avoid squeezing past cyclists or pushing them off the road.

We all have a duty of care ๐Ÿฅฐ
